I received an email Saturday with a question based on rumors that have been circulating about suicides after the Trump win. Below is the email:

I wonder if there have been any suicides as a result of the election results?

Hi Mike:

I went to a friend’s house for Thanksgiving. He does it big every year, with a good turnout. He has a daughter in her 20s who has been married for a year or two. I asked where she was, and he told me that she was very troubled over the results of the election and would not be coming over. He went on to say that she was in some support group for women.

So many of these liberals have become so accustomed to having things go their way, that they just can’t cope when things don’t.

I wonder if there have been any suicides as a result of the election results?

The USA Today “fact check” says there is no increase in suicides. AP News agrees.

Since I have access to Grok I asked it the question. Below is the answer it gives.

There have been no reported instances of suicides directly attributed to the outcome of the 2024 election. However, there was a significant increase in crisis contacts reported by organizations like The Trevor Project, which supports LGBTQ+ youth, following the election. The Trevor Project noted a nearly 700% increase in crisis contact volume on November 6, 2024, compared to the weeks prior, and election-related conversations increased by nearly 5,200% from the days leading up to the election, indicating heightened distress among this demographic due to the election results. This surge in crisis contacts does not equate to reported suicides but does suggest an increase in emotional distress related to the political climate and election outcome.

Additionally, while there were claims circulating on social media platforms about an increase in suicides due to the election, these claims were debunked. For example, a post suggesting 2,038 suicides were reported after the election was called for Donald Trump was found to be false, with no evidence linking these numbers to the election outcome. The World Health Organization (WHO) does not track daily suicide statistics, and no credible sources supported these claims.

In summary, while there was a noticeable increase in mental health crisis contacts post-election, no direct link or reported instances of suicide specifically caused by the 2024 election results have been documented.

It has often been rumored that suicides increase around the holidays. Actually, it is the reverse in the United States. November and December are the lowest months for suicides.

It’s not surprising that some weak-minded individuals are struggling significantly. They’ve been subjected to intense propaganda for years, and I’ve warned about this repeatedly. While this issue of propaganda affects both political sides to some extent, being driven to a counselor appears to be more prevalent among those on the left.

Hunter Biden Pardon

I anticipate questions regarding Hunter Biden’s pardon, especially since President Biden previously stated he would not grant one. My view is straightforward: I did not expect Joe Biden to honor his word. Much like the propaganda machine, I have little trust in statements from career politicians. If you were surprised by this, that is on you.
