What drives proper behavior in the military? The simple answer is fear & discipline. I will never forget my Air Force TI saying, “There are two kinds of discipline, self and imposed, you want to have the first kind.

We must find out how our Intelligence agencies, Justice Department and career government employees believed they could get away with murder (figuratively speaking). These were top officials, not inexperienced laymen.

Without actual prison time, we will never restore confidence in our Intel and Justice system. Simply firing the career people will not restore confidence. Where is their accountability? They are either allowed to retire or move on to other cushy jobs.

So what do we need to do to fix this? We need to start holding people accountable again. That means prison time to instill fear on future violators. It’s just that simple.
