I stand with truth. I will not bow to China, big tech or Biden. Mr. Biden you have been hiding in your basement because you cannot handle truth. The light of the lord is on our nation…

That quote above was all that was submitted using our Guest Post feature. While it was too short to send as a post I decided to add to it rather than simply delete it. I’m guessing our anonymous author comes from the Twitter Universe where people speak in short comments. Short comments are not typical of what we do here but I agree with his or her sentiment. It is true that Biden’s are in bed with the Chinese. They are not alone and it is not party-specific but heavier on the Democrat side. It is true that Big Tech (and mainstream media) is on the side of China and those who support the suppression of free speech. It is true that Biden hid in his basement most of the time. It is true that America is still the most Christian nation in the world.

Since it is Sunday I will add a thought that I’ve been sharing with some of my Christian friends. There are many Christian denominations. Various denominations focus on a particular point of view. It is not that one denomination is completely right or wrong. Of particular note are my Christian friends that come from a viewpoint that suggests that success or prosperity indicates being in right standing with God. That particular point of view can lead to spiritual and emotional pain when things do not go the way you had hoped.

If you are a Christian who thinks along those lines it is important to remember it is not all about this world. It is true there are times when the Bible teaches prosperity for those who are in right standing with God. There are also times that we suffer and it has nothing to do with our position in relation to the Almighty. One only needs to think of the crucifixion of Christ and the persecution of Christians throughout history and today. No, things do not always go the way you would expect or hope.

While Jesus was explaining to his disciples the coming crucifixion and the “scattering” of the disciples He said this:

John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

To my fellow Christians, be at peace. This life is short and does not have the eternal things you are looking for. In the book of Hebrews, after listing many people of faith who did not see the completion of their reward on earth, the author says:

Hebrews 11:13All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 14People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.
