Just a quick point about the forgiveness of student debt. The argument I heard from the left was that during COVID the government bailed out businesses. Now, when it comes to student debt there is a challenge in the Supreme Court. The Dems cry hypocrisy!
I think we can all agree that COVID relief was squandered in many cases. However, that is not a legal argument that can be used in relation to college debt forgiveness.
The argument against that line of thinking is simple. The government shut down businesses during COVID. The government did not make you go to college.
Unrelated to the legal decision, while student loan forgiveness may provide some relief to borrowers struggling with debt, it does nothing to correct the underlying problem of rising college costs. Student loan forgiveness is insanity.
I could go on and on but you have already heard all the arguments against it by now.
