I feel compelled to start this post with the definition of tacit. Here is what tacit means:
expressed without words or speech; implied or indicated but not actually expressed. It represents silent consent and acceptance.
Tacit approval is simply not saying anything or taking preventative action.
If you have been around enough children with their parents you have seen it in action. The parent that simply says nothing to a misbehaving child. Their kids annoy everyone. Sometimes you do not want to be around the parents, even if you were friends before. I had a friend like that. Notice the word “had”. The old saying is “What parents allow in moderation the children will do to excess”.
Veterans may understand this in another way. If you served long enough you have seen what can happen with the tacit approval of bad behavior among younger troops. They can lose all discipline and then it becomes a problem for their superiors. Correcting bad behavior early saves you a lot of grief in the long run.
Good teachers use the reverse of tacit approval. I would hear my relatives that were teachers say: “Don’t smile in the classroom before Thanksgiving.” Others preferred Christmas! That way the new students took the teachers seriously. You may now be reflecting on some of your favorite teachers. The good ones were somewhat stern in the beginning. Later in the year if they smiled at you the feeling was great!’
We see the results of tacit approval all through our society. That is the way of the Democrat Party. It is apparent to reasonable people this is what has been unleashed in our cities today. If you don’t clamp down on the person who throws a punch or rock you will be taking people to the hospital and the morgue. That is precisely what has happened.
The First Amendment says the following:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
It does not say you have the right to destroy public property, burn, loot, beat, shoot and murder people. Why are we seeing so much of that? The answer, to me, is simple. It has less to do with Anarchists and BLM than it does our governing officials. The common thread among those governing officials is Democrat control or lack of control. No reasonable person can deny this simple truth. Worst of all if you voted for a Democrat it is your fault as much as theirs.
If you are in the middle or a reasonable centrist who does not stand against the Democrat party you are giving tacit approval to the murder of children. The “middle ground” is where tacit approval causes evil to flourish.
Do not stand in the shadows. What fellowship can light have with darkness?
