I traveled down to Myrtle Beach on the weekend that the Chinese balloon was shot down. That Monday I received a text from a friend I had not heard from in a long time. Long story short, she and her husband had moved to Myrtle Beach so we met for lunch. There are no coincidences and this is not the first time something like this has happened to me.

Bonnie and her husband are retired or semi-retired Harvard grads who work in education. Bonnie’s idea was to have veterans participate in “Veteran’s Story Hour” at local Public Libraries and Public Schools where possible.

We encourage our VFWs, American Legions, etc to tell patriotic kids’ stories. Veterans come from all walks of life and all political backgrounds. We are a strong unifying force in our nation.

I said I would pass the idea along on the Vets for Trump website. I also explained that Google had taken the vast majority of our traffic away. I’m not sure what good this will do but it is a great idea.

I created two kids’ stories with illustrations with the help of Artificial Intelligence in just a few hours. If I find time I will do more if there is interest. Click here to open the page with the short story about Sam the Soldier. Here is another one called Brianna Goes to Basic. There is no copyright so feel free to make it your own. It can also be read aloud by clicking the play button. Please let us know what you think.
