Finally some good news. Late last night on the Tucker Carlson Show on FOX News Tucker had a guest at the end that said hydroxychloroquine with azithromycin was 100% effective in a small test against COVID-19.
Gregory Rigano, an adviser to the Stanford University School of Medicine SPARK Translational Research Program, is leading a program based on Raoult’s results to study the effects of hydroxychloroquine on treating COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.
Rigano touted the results of the study on Fox News’s Tucker Carlson Tonight on Wednesday, claiming that hydroxychloroquine used with azithromycin is the second 100% cure for a virus ever found. Rigano also called on President Trump to “authorize the use of hydroxychloroquine against coronavirus immediately.”
The researchers released their findings in a study published on yesterday. The results showed that all six patients treated with hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin tested negative for the virus after six days. Of the 20 treated with just hydroxychloroquine, 57.1% tested negative for the coronavirus after six days.
This morning in the NY Post this article appeared:
Let’s hope the President who passed “Right to Try” cuts the red tape and allows immediate use of this therapy to save lives. Since it only takes 3 to 6 days to see results we should know if it is an effective treatment quickly. America needs to get back to work ASAP.

Hear! Hear! I’m under the impression that Dr. Faucci hasn’t put all of his trust in hydroxychloroquine. Has that changed? If so, then BB (Breitbart) needs to update their feed.
Thankfully, Israel is sending us 10 million doses by the end of this month.
Hydroxychloroquine, the less toxic version of Chloroquine, is an appealing option mainly because it’s an off-the-shelf drug. Companies know how to make it, there are low-cost generic versions available, and the drug has already been tested and approved for use against malaria and to treat inflammation in conditions like arthritis. It sounds like I should be taking it now. It might help my arthritis.
But as Fauci noted, it has not been approved as a treatment for Covid-19, and right now, the evidence for its effectiveness is sparse. Of course, as with any medicine contraindications must be considered. However, for most people, it is safe, especially for short term use. If I was down with this I would take it. Thankfully, doctors have begun to prescribe it according to Breitbart.
Chinese researchers showed in lab cell culture tests that hydroxychloroquine can slow infections from the virus behind Covid-19, SARS-CoV-2, blocking it from entering cells. Some doctors in China and South Korea have also used it to treat patients. And a recent study by researchers in France found that the drug was “efficient” in clearing upper airways from the virus in three to six days in most patients. That timing is important because an untreated infected person can transmit the virus for 20 days or more, even without showing symptoms. So it’s important to shrink the amount of time a person carries the virus in order to limit its spread.
Since it only takes 3 to 6 days to see results we should know if it is an effective treatment quickly. Maybe we will soon find something better. I’m an Occam’s Razor kind of guy. The simplest solution to a complex problem is usually correct. In life and death situations, we should increase our odds.
