If I wasn’t clear about this in the past I want to clarify things now. You cannot be both a Trump supporter and a criminal and maintain credibility. We cannot call out the hypocrisy of the left and then excuse the same thing on the right. It is just that simple.
We are the law and order crowd. We are pro-military and pro-police. Of course, we are veterans so we understand things that our civilian counterparts don’t fully grasp. Sadly, some of our veteran friends seem to have lost their way. We should put America first, mission first and others before ourselves.
“Duty, Honor, Country” — those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you ought to be, what you can be, what you will be. They are your rallying point to build courage when courage seems to fail, to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith, to create hope when hope becomes forlorn.
General Douglas MacArthur’s speech to the Corps of Cadets at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., May 12, 1962
Bottom line: If we are going to win hearts and minds then we better have good hearts and minds ourselves. Don’t be a hypocrite!

They certainly proved that the GOP is the party of Law and Order on January 6. Every video released shows how it was not a group of Patriots protesting but an armed insurrection. Yells of “Hang Mike Pence” will echo through history.
The GOP will not be able to call itself the “Law and Order” part until they purge the ranks of those committed to violence. Until they purge the ranks of Insurrectionist and Traitors.
The Democrats also need to purge their ranks of the those committed to violence as a way to get their ends. At least they never called themselves the “Lawand Order” party. Plus they don’t have rid themselves of Traitors.
Jon, I’m an old fashioned liberal in some ways. I’m going back to the 1960s. That’s when liberals agreed with where most conservatives stand today. Not on all issues but most. For example, I believe in free speech. I don’t have to allow it here because I say what goes. As a general principle, I would never want to stop you or anyone from opening your own website to say what you want and prohibit me from posting on your platform. No problem. Like liberals of the past, I disagree with monopolies that run big tech and mass media. They have too much power and power corrupts. Then again, I equally blame the public at large for allowing themselves to get sucked in. I guess I should write my next post on this subject. It is akin to my views on religion. Don’t ask me what denomination I belong to. Ask me what I think about a particular doctrine or Biblical passage. Believe it or not, you will sometimes get the answer “I don’t know” or “let me think about it and I’ll get back to you.”
1Peter 2:15 For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. 16 Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves.
That is a standard that we should all try to obtain.
I will forever be saddened that President Trump, will no longer be my President, and I will have a very hard time accepting Biden, and will never call Harris the Vice.
I also don’t think it was all Trump supporters that took place in the violence.
But it should have never happened. I am so saddened. We are much better than that.
