Besides the Joe Biden scandal, the thing that bothers me most recently is Biden commercials on COVID response. I’ll bullet point some facts.

• Neither Joe Biden nor anyone else can prove their response would have been better. If he had a better plan he certainly never stated what it would be at the time. We can all Monday morning quarterback things. Since he was in charge of H1N1 we do have a basis to believe he would have done much worse. An excerpt from that link is below:

“It is purely a fortuity that this isn’t one of the great mass casualty events in American history,” Ron Klain, who was Biden’s chief of staff at the time, said of H1N1 in 2019. “It had nothing to do with us doing anything right. It just had to do with luck. If anyone thinks that this can’t happen again, they don’t have to go back to 1918, they just have to go back to 2009, 2010 and imagine a virus with a different lethality, and you can just do the math on that.”

• In the article above Biden was also criticized for causing panic. This is contrasted to Trump playing it down to the public to reduce fear while taking aggressive action behind the scenes.
• Other modern countries are doing no better or worse than the U.S., even those who shut down harder than the United States. There is a huge difference between public perception and the facts. Get the facts on COVID mortality at this link.
• Biden’s response looks an awful lot like what Trump has done minus a National Mask Mandate.
• Biden and others did criticize Trump for shutting down travel. If we went with the Biden plan many more Americans would be dead. Nobody knows how many more but it would be significant. Joe needs to remember that video, Tweets, and other things on the internet are not easily scrubbed.
