Today, our fellow Veteran for Trump, Mac, sent me a link to an article from The Guardian (a leftist organization) titled “Extremely disturbing and unethical’: new rules allow VA doctors to refuse to treat Democrats, unmarried veterans“. My response was “Yep. Truth derangement syndrome“. After all, what would anyone expect from a leftist publication? His follow-up comment was, “But that should be debunked on Vets for Trump. It’s absurd to suggest a Vet wouldn’t get medical care because of his political affiliation! Absolutely ludicrous!!“
Normally, I let most things like this go. I have trouble believing anyone but a low IQ, overly emotional person, Democrat politician, or Never Trumper would give this type of article a second thought. Mac often tells me there are a lot of dumb or gullible people in the world. I am fortunate to have a rational mind and I don’t fall for this crap.
Let me bottom line this article. It rants and raves about many things but the truth is none of the things it suggests have happened. It is all about fear-mongering about what could happen. Simply put, the new guidlines removed some words. Below is a quote from the article:
Until the recent changes, VA hospitals’ bylaws said that medical staff could not discriminate against patients “on the basis of race, age, color, sex, religion, national origin, politics, marital status or disability in any employment matter”. Now, several of those items – including “national origin,” “politics” and “marital status” – have been removed from that list.
Do you know what else is not in the list of reasons you cannot discriminate? People with rough or dirty finger nails, blonde hair, brown hair, pink hair, no hair, tattoos, no tattoos, brown eyes, blue eyes, people who ate a salad for lunch the day before….. you get it, don’t you? They might just as well remove the whole section about discrimination of any sort. It is just assumed that veterans will be treated fairly without the need to write 17 volumes of things you cannot discriminate about.
I believe it was Jesse Watters who coined the term “Idiot Brushfire“. Sure, there will be those who share this on Social Media like it is a story worth reading. The left has run out of legitimate arguments and they are desperately grasping for anything as they sink beneath the waves. This is the result of supporting every bad policy we can imagine over the past years. I hope all veterans are smart enough to see through the propaganda.
Hope you all had a great Fathers Day and enjoyed the Parade!
