That’s Weird

By now we have all realized the media gets the propaganda talking points handed to them. Unless you have been under a rock you know this week’s propaganda word is “Weird”. The way the Democrats and media work together would make Joseph Goebbels proud.

Why the change to such a benign word? It could be due to the Dems waking up and realizing people are no longer buying the label “Nazi” or “Threat to Democracy”. Then there are the other failed words like racist, mysagnonist, xenophobe, rapist, convicted felon. It may be due the the assassination attempt that many on the left are still trying to deny or obfuscate, even the Director of the FBI. The FBI Deputy Director had to later walk back the testimony of the FBI Director. But no, there is no “deep state” animosity toward President Trump.

When words are used out of context on a consistent basis they lose all meaning. That was the flaw in the idea “if you say something often enough and loud enough, people will believe it.” It works to a point but even a child can see through it in time. They (the Dems and MSM) have overplayed their hand and lost all credibility. This is very true when it comes to overused words.

When it comes to the power of language, what ideology or mentality is driving the constant push to manipulate our perception of reality through the manipulation of words? It is concerning that many of today’s youth seem to be unaware of the warnings presented in George Orwell’s timeless novel, “1984.” If you are a parent or grandparent, I urge you to encourage the younger generation to at least watch the film adaptation.

Doublethink is a process of indoctrination in which subjects are expected to simultaneously accept two conflicting beliefs as truth, often at odds with their own memory or sense of reality. The concept of Doublethink is not just a fictional idea, but a reality that we are witnessing unfold before our very eyes. Let us not be passive observers, but vigilant guardians of truth and critical thinking.
