A Shift in Language

Over the course of eleven years, the acceptance of same-sex marriage in the United States grew from being recognized only in Massachusetts in 2004 to becoming legalized in all fifty states by 2015. This monumental change was achieved through a combination of court decisions, state laws, and democratic voting processes.

Many people warned about the “slippery slope” of same-sex marriage leading to the acceptance of pedophilia. People who stood against using the word “marriage” and preferred “civil union” were considered old-fashioned and were dismissed. But now, we can see that those ideas have not only become a reality but have also exceeded our wildest expectations.

Before we continue, let’s talk about something called the slippery slope fallacy. It’s when people say that if one thing happens, it will lead to something extreme and terrible. While this is not always true, conservatives were not completely wrong in their concerns about the legalization of gay marriage.

One of the unforeseen consequences of this legalization is the shift in language. It’s concerning to see how pedophiles are now being referred to as “minor attracted persons” or “maps.” This suggests that there is a certain level of acceptance and normalization of pedophilia within the scientific community and even popular culture. If you are unfamiliar with the ties between the lesbian and gay community with pedophiles see this Wikipedia article. It is hard to believe that liberals allow this page to exist.

A Fear of Normalization

Do not get me wrong. Not every person with nonnormative sexual views or proclivities is an extremist. I don’t want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but deep down, I worry that in the near future, we might witness the normalization of pedophilia. This is something we need to take very seriously and be watchful of because the potential consequences for society are significant. It was just a few weeks ago the nonnormative extremists reminded us they are coming for our children. NBC even tried to cover for them. It is as clear as the nose on your face. Not all but some of them are coming for our children. Since we cannot tell who is and is not an extremist coming for our children it is best to treat any person or company supporting the nonnormative community with suspicion.
