As veterans with over 40 years of combined service, Mac and I endorse the idea of a Government Efficiency Commission. Not only will Musk be the perfect candidate to head this up, but the addition of Vivek Ramaswamy would be fantastic. We all know what Musk did with Twitter, now X, but what some may have forgotten is how Vivek promoted this idea during his candidacy for the Republican nomination.
The addition of Vivek Ramaswamy to the envisioned Government Efficiency Commission, spearheaded by Elon Musk and Donald Trump, could bring a fresh perspective on regulatory reform. Ramaswamy, a biotech entrepreneur with strong conservative views, has publicly advocated for drastic reductions in government size and regulation. His ideas, shared on X, include executive orders for significant federal headcount reductions and dismantling regulatory agencies, aligning with Musk’s efficiency ethos.
Ramaswamy’s involvement would likely focus on liberating sectors like energy and technology from what he terms the “unconstitutional shadow government,” suggesting a deep dive into regulatory overreach. His approach, combined with Musk’s operational efficiency and Trump’s political clout, could set the stage for one of the most aggressive government reform initiatives in U.S. history, potentially reshaping how innovation and government interact.
Vivek Ramaswamy’s addition brings a legal and philosophical argument against what he sees as an overreaching regulatory state. His advocacy for returning power to the legislative branch and the people could complement Musk’s operational overhaul with a legal framework for sustainable change. This commission, if realized, might not only address immediate efficiency but could also set a precedent for future administrations on how to manage government size and influence.
