I’m not writing about President Trump’s remarks today because Nancy and Chuck said it would not matter before he spoke. A fellow veteran, Brent, called me just to say it was anticlimactic. I agree. We were both hoping he would say he was going to have the military build the wall.
Here is what really got my attention today.
In 2016 People’s TV followed fellow Veteran Joe Episcopo and me around for a few days through the Inauguration. Joe had to roll after that but People’s TV wanted me to go to the Women’s March and then debate a fellow female veteran afterward. Everyone at the inauguration was so happy. I did. In contrast to the Inauguration, It was a crowd of angry women as far as the eye can see.
If you would have told me two years later the Women’s March movement would be defending themselves against charges of Racism, Bigotry, Xenophobia, and Anti-Semitism I would have called you a nut. Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction.
