If you pay for something you will get more of it

Think about that for a minute. If you pay people who do not work there will be more people who do not work. If you pay people who break our laws by illegally entering our country you will get more of them. If you bail out people who get into too much debt for college you will get more people in debt requiring more bailouts in the future. The same goes for international relationships like NATO. If we prop them up they won’t become self-reliant and become the weaker partners they currently are. Trump pointed this out and all he received was ridicule.

There is a fine line between trying to help people and becoming an enabler. It’s a delicate balance between offering a helping hand and inadvertently perpetuating a cycle of dependency. It’s like walking a tightrope while juggling flaming torches – one misstep can lead to unintended consequences. The key is to provide support without removing the natural consequences of actions, which can ultimately lead to personal growth and independence. It’s a bit like teaching someone to fish instead of just giving them a fish – although, in some cases, they might end up using the fishing rod to prop up a hammock.

You could write a book about the unintended consequences of so called “do-gooders”. I’ll leave it there for now. Just remember this when it comes time to vote.
