Quick Debate Take Away

First, I know the needle will not move for Democrats and Republicans who already support one of the two. Where the middle goes is anyone’s guess. I understand it can be difficult listening to Trump for some folks. Both candidates meandered off-topic but there is something different about the way Trump does it. Like he said in a previous rally speech, “Even if you don’t like me! You can sit there and say ‘I can’t stand that guy, but there’s no way I’m gonna vote for her!” I hope you who are in the middle agree.

Funny aspects:

• I had to laugh at how Harris kept looking at Trump trying to get to him and he would not look her way.
• The second most humorous part was when Harris interrupted him and he pulled the “I’m talking now” and then went on to say “Sound familiar?”. I just about peed myself. The expression on Harris’ face was priceless.
• Then there was the “See Spot run. Run Spot run!” about her copied Biden’s plan that was only a few sentences. She doesn’t have a plan.

I counted at least 5 so-called fact-checks by the Democrat moderators on Trump. I counted Zero on Kamala. They also did not ask for follow-ups to get an answer from Harris but did from Trump. Below are 7 lies Harris told and could have easily been fact-checked off the top of my head.

• Harris continually brought up the 2025 lie.
• Harris continued the Fine People Hoax lie.
• Harris continued the Dictator Hoax.
• Harris kept promoting the incitement lies about January 6th.
• Harris lied about the “Blood Bath” hoax.
• Harris lied and said some police died on January 6th.
• Harris hit Trump with In vitro fertilization (IVF) not knowing Trump supported it. The moderators could have at least corrected her on this subject.

Trump trounced her on the January 6th issue and abortion. He offered the National Guard and both Nancy Pelosi and the D.C. Mayor said no. Trump mentions the tape they want to get rid of where Pelosi’s daughter asked Nancy about it. Yes, Trump first said West Virginia but later said Virginia Governor who would allow killing a baby after it was born. Kamala would not put any limits on abortion.

All in all on policy Trump was the winner. If you were looking at style over substance then you will say Kamala won.
