Since his election in 2016, President Donald Trump made and kept a commitment to improving the lives of veterans in the United States. He has taken a number of steps to ensure that veterans receive the care and support they need, and his efforts have been met with strong support from the veteran community.

One of the most significant steps taken by the Trump administration has been the passage of the VA MISSION Act of 2018. This legislation provides veterans with greater access to healthcare, including the ability to seek care from private providers. It also expands the VA’s telehealth services, allowing veterans to receive care from the comfort of their own homes. Additionally, the act provided funding for the modernization of VA facilities and the hiring of additional medical staff.

The Trump administration has also taken steps to improve the quality of life for veterans. The Forever GI Bill was signed into law in 2017, providing veterans with expanded educational benefits. The bill also eliminated the 15-year time limit for veterans to use their educational benefits, allowing them to use them for their entire lives.

The Trump administration has also taken steps to reduce veteran homelessness. The Department of Housing and Urban Development has allocated $1.5 billion to help veterans find permanent housing. Additionally, the Department of Veterans Affairs has launched a program to provide veterans with rental assistance and other services to help them transition into permanent housing.

Finally, the Trump administration has taken steps to ensure that veterans receive the benefits they are entitled to. The Department of Veterans Affairs has implemented a number of initiatives to reduce the backlog of disability claims and to ensure that veterans receive their benefits in a timely manner.

The Trump administration’s commitment to veterans continues with strong support from the veteran community. A recent survey found that nearly two-thirds of veterans approve of the job President Trump is doing on veterans’ issues. 53% of voters in military households (spouses and children) approve of Trump’s job performance, roughly the same share that did at the beginning of his presidency. This level of support is a testament to the Trump administration’s commitment to improving the lives of veterans.
